Suggested Care & Testing
To keep pets at their highest quality of life, we have this suggested care list:
- Twice yearly wellness exams
- Current vaccination status on core vaccines
- Spay and neuter recommended to patients over 6 months of age
- Wellness bloodwork panel strongly recommended to establish a diagnostic baseline to all patients - Junior (once yearly) and Senior (twice yearly)
- Year-round heartworm, flea, and tick preventative
- Twice yearly heartworm test and fecal flotation exam
- A complete minimum database is recommended for all unwell patients - this includes complete blood count (CBC), chemistry panel (for internal organ function assessment), radiographs, and urinalysis. This will allow us to better diagnose the disease process and implement the most appropriate therapy/treatment for your pet.
